Cafe Face is one of those places you certainly want to visit if you’re looking for coffee or a good lunch. The food is reasonably priced and the service is exceptional. Great atmosphere. It’s located on the town square where many of the events take place in Châteauroux. So you are certainly in the middle of the Saturday market crowd.

The lentils with poached egg as a starter was a revelation; utterly delicious and a local product we've been meaning to try for years.
The duck with sauteed potatoes was elevated with a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. It went very well with the Chinon, a local red wine.
There was a potential disaster - they ran out of bread - but don't worry, someone had been dispatched to the bakers! Delicious, crusty, fluffy, perfect baguette with which to mop up the sauce. Ahhhh.
Choosing a dessert was difficult as the diners around us had all had different and apparently delicious ends to their meals. Ours were just as good: spéculos cheese cake and "snickers au face" the snickers dessert means I'll never really enjoy a normal snickers again - so good it may have ruined snickers for me.
I'm coming back.

Very nice people to visit this place and the barmans are very nice people also, and isn't expensive price.
Repas pour 7 personnes. Nous avons mangé un midi au Face et je suis vraiment heureuse du repas. Le personnel était très agréable, la nourriture délicieuse et le service rapide. Je recommande fortement !

Bon accueil Commande prise rapidement en nous laissant le temps de choisir. Service efficace, nous laissant le temps de déguster nos plats. Menu du jour: délicieux de l' entrée au dessert. Assiettes très bien présentées et copieuses. Personnels aimables et attentionnés. Restaurant propre. Ambiance: un peu bruyant. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Serveurs vraiment sympathiques. Les plats sont très fins et super bien présentés. Les hamburgers sont généreux ! Les prix sont tout à fait raisonnables compte tenu de la qualité des plats. Nous n'avons pas eu beaucoup de chance car nous étions proches d'un groupe très très bruyan…Plus d’avis

Really friendly waiters. The dishes are very fine and beautifully presented. The hamburgers are generous! The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. We weren't very lucky because we were close to a very, very noisy group. The gyoza are truly excellent...a very good starter. My friend had the tiger tongue. Super fine and very flavorful. My vegetable stir-fry was a bit subpar...actually, it lacked vegetables, lol. The gourmet coffee is super good. Highly recommended. Around 80 euros for two with drinks as an aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, fries, and a bottle of sparkling water. That seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Très bel emplacement sur la place, patron sympathique et agréable, toujours bien accueilli. Motard je m'y arrête régulièrement pour prendre un kfé et rafraîchissement. Cuisine fine , je m'y suis régalé. Je vous recommande ce spot.
